St. Peter’s Lutheran | Epiphany | March 17,  2024 | Pastor Adam Rodriguez  | The Day of Resurrection is closer now than it was yesterday. But it still hasn’t happened yet. So what do we do in the meantime? Until the day of the resurrection, God has put you, as a member, into the body of Christ. We await the day of resurrection with other Christians dutifully fulfilling our vocations- being an instrument of the Holy Spirit to bring life into death.

St. Peter’s Lutheran | (RE)SURRECTION | March 10, 2024 | Pastor Tim Carter  | The second coming of Christ will be a reunion of many things: our body and soul and the family of God. However, the greatest reunion of heaven will be seeing Christ face to face. On this earth, being a Christian is like always longing for someone, but never being with them. But in the new heavens and the new earth Christ is no longer with us as He once was. He is with us as He will be; forever.

St. Peter’s Lutheran | (RE)SURRECTION | March 3, 2024 | Pastor John Cordrey  | God has promised to renew, restore, and recreate you and a new heavens and a new earth. And we catch glimpses of it as we walk through this life. But Revelation 21 really paints the picture in beautiful color. That new world is already on its way. When it fully arrives, there we will live forever- new creations given new bodies living in a new heaven and a new earth, citizens of the new Jerusalem for all eternity. This new kingdom was birthed into this world with Jesus' birth at His first coming, and He will consummate it at His second coming.

St. Peter’s Lutheran | (RE)SURRECTION | February 25, 2024 | Pastor John Cordrey  | Today’s message is called, “(RE)vealed,” because today we will be asking, “What has God revealed about these things—the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting?” There is a misconception about what God has actually revealed. Many people think God has revealed Christian faith to culminate in dying and going to heaven. But the Bible never speaks this way at all. Why? God reveals to us through His Son that because Christ rose from the dead, we will too.

St. Peter’s Lutheran | (RE)SURRECTION | February 18, 2024 | Pastor Adam Rodriguez  | Today’s message is broken up into 3 different parts with scripture readings in-between. We will be looking at three different accounts of people who were resurrected from the dead during Jesus’ earthly ministry. These three resurrection accounts point us forward to our own resurrection when Jesus returns in glory. Our Living Lord who raised the son of a widow, the daughter of Jairus, and His friend Lazarus from the dead has promised to do the same, and much better, for you and for me.

St. Peter’s Lutheran | Epiphany | February 11, 2024 | Pastor Adam Rodriguez  | Have you ever put God in a box?  Seems a little silly, doesn’t it? But we do it all the time.  We put God in a box all the time, and we carry Him around, letting Him out only when it’s most convenient for Him to be involved. Today, Jesus reveals that there is no box that can hold Him and that if we want to be His followers, He must be the Lord of our whole lives.

St. Peter’s Lutheran | Epiphany | February 4, 2024 | Pastor John Cordrey  | In today’s passage from Mark, Jesus chooses to heal on the sabbath to show He has authority and is Lord over the sabbath, and no tradition or law will prevent the gospel from being proclaimed and God’s kingdom from being experienced.
